Abstract

The introduction of the meaning of quality in the health services is important, as the variety of the offered services requires coordination and organization, while the demands, either from the patients or from the health professionals, are rising continuously. The improvement of the quality in health's area, with emphasis in hospitals, focuses our interest in the satisfaction of the patients. This improvement is accomplished through the implementation of processes and measurement of quality, which are placed among the quality methods. For the initiation of the improvement procedure, the survey of the offered health services is necessary, so the sectors that need improvement can be pinpointed. This survey comprises the target of this specific work and it is accomplished by the measurement of patients' satisfaction in public hospitals. For this reason, a questionnaire was formed, the processing of which gave some very useful results, that are analytically presented in the corresponding chapter of this diplomatic work.
