Abstract
Over the last decades, one of the key political and social issues in developed countries has been the organization of their national health care systems. The ever-changing social and financial conditions have brought new facts on the map while at once elevating the need for sound and efficacious administration of resources. Based on this terminus, a number of countries are currently redefining the nature of their health care systems. The main subject of this essay is the presentation of the Canadian health care system, considered as one of the most effective national systems in the world. This study pertains particularly to the inspection of its general characteristics as well as to the analysis of its mode of organization and operation. Additionally, emphasis is given to the matter of financing, while all involved stakeholders and relevant procedures are presented, as well as the structure of health expenses based on the system's inputs and outputs. This study aims to showcase all the components of the Canadian public health system while simultaneously comprising a representative typification of its sound administration.
