The purpose of this project is to evaluate the use of mobile business (m- Business) in the Healthcare sector. Specific information is provided on how m- Business can contribute to the expansion of the market, generate additional cash inflows, and provide new business opportunities and most of all to help patient's health progress quicker. The report examines the applications, services and the technologies of m-Business. Furthermore, a thorough analysis is provided on the opportunities, potential implementation issues and future developments of m-Business in healthcare. A relevant case study is presented to help the reader see the applications and services in real life. The ease study concerns "ASTHMAWEB" a web based asthma tool that significantly enhances public information and awareness to support illness prevention, patients independent living through user profiling and personalization and collaborative work between health professionals, therapists, caregivers and patients. This specific asthma web based tool has been tested in Great Britain and Greece.
