The particularities of the health sector, the different kinds of problems together with the inefficiencies of the management techniques' applications constitute the main motives for the search of practical solutions which can help drastically in the transformation of the current non efficient environment. This particular thesis generally describes the "lean management" technique and attempts to demonstrate a certain way of its implementation. The "Lean health care" is presented with examples taken from the everyday health procedures in the General Hospital of Sparti. This research project led to some spectacular results such as significant reduction in the patients' treating time, the improvement of the service quality and the increase of the patients and the personnel satisfaction. In conclusion, the "lean health care" is a set of management techniques which apply to all the health sector's participants as its application can provide significant solutions and bring radical changes in a sector that has suffers much.
