Investment is one of the most important aspects of business growth and therefore of the national economy, because it expands the availability of goods and services. Τhe existence of private clinics, diagnostic laboratories and units providing primary medical care, is an important part of the health system in Greece. The object of this project is the evaluation of an investment on a primary health care center. In order for the evaluation to take place all the required information was collected so that the founding and running costs, as well as the corresponding profit could be estimated. The information was collected based on the number of cases the health center can serve as well as the laws in effect at this period of time. After the available services to the public and the medical fields to be covered were determined, information was collected about the necessary equipment and its cost as well as the overall running costs. Finally the profit from the services available was estimated. Based on the above information the investment was evaluated, the repayment period of the initial investment was determined as well as the net present value and the internal rate of return. The aim of this project is the general assessment of the investment climate in Greece. This assessment is more valuable since there are a limited number of health centers which provide only primary health care, family doctor, etc, in small towns, similar to those available in other countries. As in recent years the investment climate, the role and operation of insurance funds as well as the overall health system is changing, the evaluation of new investment is important.
