Abstract
The concept of quality in all services is ambiguous, much less for healthcare services as a variety of services requires proper coordination and organization, while the specific requirements of the side of patients is constantly increasing.
Improving quality in healthcare fields is seen through patient satisfaction. This improvement is achieved through the application process and assurance and quality measurement included within the quality systems. The constitution of accreditation in health services remains a common worldwide applicable mechanism and more specifically the evolved form regarding the hospital accreditation. The determining role of nursing institutions specifically in the sector of health services requires their improvement and evolution, in order to meet the challenges of the healthcare environment and respond to the needs of the users of the services. The accreditation provides the healthcare organization with the ability for internal reconstruction by matching the implementation of the standards in accordance to the continuity of care and focuses on the evaluation of quality in procedures and the output of the organization.
For the improvement process is necessary evaluation and statistical process control and quality of health services offered in order to identify the areas that need improvement. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the quality and the significance and methodology of data collection, cost quality framework for the improvement of services and costs in hospitals.
