Abstract

The purpose of this dissertation is the study of foreign direct investment and a case study of group ‘Hellenic petroleum’ in FYROM. The first part of this dissertation refers to the theoretical part of FDI and the factors that attract a foreign company to invest in a country. Then the FYROM market is analyzed first, followed by an analysis of the economic situation on FYROM and the incentives and benefits that attract a foreign company to invest there. Following the analysis is conducted regarding the Group ‘Hellenic petroleum’ and the subsidiary company (OKTA) in FYROM market. In the final part of this dissertation, the future is analyzed for the Hellenic petroleum in FYROM and strategies that can be used for positive financial results.
