The present dissertation has the intention to examine, analyze and demonstrate in all the perspectives the liner shipping industry, within the partnerships that already exist and those tend to be created in liner shipping. Particularly attempts to analyze the phenomenon coalition - collaborations among the leading companies in container liner shipping from stochastic and economic point of view. Throughout the analysis of liner shipping industry and its special characteristics, the theoretical but also the financial study of cooperating companies in the course of years and the examining of the relevant ruling regulations concerning competition we can reach in exceptionally useful conclusions, regarding the present of that specific market and the future as well.
