Abstract
This review, attempts a comparative evaluation, of the high cost medical imaging diagnostic technologies, in Greece and in European Union, especially. Presented, the technologies of CT & MRI, historical, their technical innovations and the functional basis each of them, as well as their indications, their applications and their future perspectives. Then we present, the evaluation criteria of the techniques, the modalities of socioeconomic evaluation, and their significance, for the adaption and its installation. Finally, we present, nowadays situation in Greece and in EU, according to the health policy, and the problems, about, high cost biomedical imaging diagnostic technology, with statistical data, while at the end, we suggest some solutions, that arise, from correlations above, and maybe, help, in the emergence of the role, of these technologies, in health and quality of life of the citizens, in, current difficult economic situations, of the restrictive policy of the memorandum in Greece.
