This assignment aims to research the main options of hospital pharmaceutical cost. In that perspective the basic issues that characterize the reception distribution of pharmaceutical material due to economic dimensions. The health care market is characterized by endogenous distortions such as moral hazard, induced demand and asymmetric information. According to research results the pharmaceutical cost increased in Greece in the last years. In spite of the fact that the shares of public and private spending were stabilized, an important demand increase of pharmacies and health services took place. Significant role in this evolvement has the inadequate institutional framework. In order however these problems to be confronted it are necessary officials to take measures like the electronic prescription, the adaptation of international accounting system and the implementation of electronic procurement.
