In the past due to the regulatory framework that had been adapted through the Solvency II directive of European Committee regarding global insurance institutions as to assure adequate capital requirements, the credit rating models are now necessary for the regular operation of its insurance organization. In a small market as Greece, the adjustment and the implementation of Solvency II is expected to develop a series of changes. In the current research will occur a brief review of the regulatory directive Solvency ΙΙ and also will be achieved to produce the rating on a sample of insurance companies in greek market.
