Entrepreneurship is an undoubtedly crucial factor for the future economic growth and job creation in the competitive environment we live in. Catalyst, however, is the role of female entrepreneurship in each country as far as the development of the economy is concerned. Crucial for the contribution of women entrepreneurs is the existence of the appropriate conditions to thrive in such businesses and the establishment of supporting institutions in each country. The purpose of this thesis is to study women’s entrepreneurship in Greece and in selected countries of East and West. Also, identifies incentives, barriers and factors affecting the start-up of a business. Finally, the present thesis deals with the presentation of organizations that support women’s entrepreneurship and the way they manage it, and the presentation of the website constructed for the purposes of this thesis and this is its innovative element.
