Abstract

This paper refers to “The Shipping Receipts and their impact on the Greek economy”. The purpose of this paper, that has to do with the enormous matter of shipping, is to point out the benefits that the Greek economy can obtain from Shipping. The Greek shipping is an export industry which plays a catalytic role in the development of the Greek economy, bridging systematically the trade deficit and helping to create added value for all sectors of production and new employment on the seagoing ships. Her evolution consists primary reason for which the shipping field should be considered and mentioned as separate and independent economic factor of great importance. The Greek sea going shipping is ranked first in the world based on the number of ships, indicatively to mention that in 2011 her force amounted to 3.848 ships and Greek ship-owners manage 17% of the world fleet of vessels.
