Abstract
Over the last years, there is increasing interest on the study of the living standards of groups of people that exhibit a specific particularity. A group as such is considered to be that of the people diagnosed to suffer from epilepsy. The QOLIE-31 Questionnaire has been structured in such a manner so as to serve the study and quantification of the living standards of epileptics by consideration of the influence of epilepsy on the main aspects driving living standards such as physical, mental as well as social activity and behavior are being considered. The Questionnaire is deployed worldwide with specialists analyzing seven subscales and the aggregate resulting score. This study approaches the QOLIE-31 Questionnaire single-dimensionally with the use of descriptive statistics but also multi-dimensionally applying multivariate analysis on the data retrieved by the available sample of 57 epileptics. The analysis went beyond the study of the seven subscales reaching the basic variables. Finally, the correlation among the subscales as well as along with the available particulars of the patients was explored by respectively fitting appropriate statistical Models.
