In the present work we show a study of technologies, methods and algorithms for control of unmanned aircraft with an emphasis on autonomous aircraft where the flight plan programmed before the flight and the aircraft fly without the need for a remote operator, using appropriate algorithms to regulate course and to carry out its mission, which has been assigned. It also analyses the flight of unmanned aircraft in a flock, and make reference to various algorithms used for this purpose. Presented the algorithm "Particle Swarm Optimization" and how it is used in unmanned aircraft. Also we analyse the control of the formation of a flock and that using the PSO algorithm in order to achieve optimal transition from an initial formation to the final desired configuration of the swarm
