Abstract
In the following chapters, the method and the legal framework of the banking system in Greece, and consequently the principles and objectives of the operation of electronic branches of Greek banks operating in the Greek market, under the Greek / European law, and also the risks they run, are both described. Another issue mentioned will be the various interbank systems used in Greek and European banking sector and how supervision is made by the Bank of Greece and the European Central Bank respectively. We will also see the organizational realignments that have been or should be done in the Greek banking system so as to face the internal collapse of a bank in the new era. Hazards such as falling behind technologically and organizational / operational problems that can be created internally and cause serious damage if not detected and treated early. Finally, with as few as possible technical terms, the risks that may affect catalytic and literally destroy an electronic bank branch and not only, if not identified and dealt with properly by the department, are listed and analyzed. In the last section, modern management techniques and solutions are listed, for conventional and incompatible threats which have been developed and pretend from many international organizations dealing with the security of electronic transactions, both bank and in general the e-commerce transactions worldwide.
