Abstract

In this graduate thesis, it was analyzed the issue of e-commerce applications in online gambling. Initially there was a history of gambling in the state so far and especially in the internet games and sports bets placed via internet. There was presented the 2 main ways to access online betting, which is accessible via computer desktop or notebook (laptop), provided an internet link, and mobile gambling, where the player via the phone can bet or play their favorite games. Then there were reported the technologies used to develop gambling sites and casinos (Java, HTML) and the continuous optimization of casinos software, the online sites use. The next section of the thesis dealt with ways that the online betting and casino companies to advertise and reach the highest possible in the market, and presented the 2 most popular applications for mobile gambling, one using android software and one for the Apple’s iphone. Also it was reported the various services offered by certain websites, and the advantages and disadvantages of betting in gambling sites. Finally, there were presented the economic dimensions of online gaming, with reference to the huge profits made worldwide via website platforms and the legal regime existing in the European Union and the rules governing the licensing of companies that offer online gaming services.
