Abstract
This study is concentrated on the Principle of General Average. Extensive reference is being made to the main characteristics and conditions under which General Average exists. On a second stage, a true case of collision between vessels is developed and several expenses incurred are analyzed n apportioned as General / Particular Average between all parties involved. Finally, certain suggestions and conclusions as same are coming from the maritime community are presented for further scientific and practical analysis.
