Abstract
This project is dealing with a desktop application development, called Teniorama which keeps user accounts. The main goal of this application is to recommend movies to the users who have accounts (recommender system). Movie recommendations are based on user profile which reflects his attitude. User profile initialization is based on stereotypes that we have defined. Then when user profile changes, system acquires more information about user personality, so and his preferences. User profile changes are based only on direct movie ratings. Other interaction with the system is not taking into account. As more often it changes, as more accurate recommendations the user receives. We present a lot of example of stereotype assignments and movie recommendations to the users. Moreover, this project includes a general description about recommender systems and personalization techniques that often use. We are also referring to stereotypes and user modelling.
