The technologies of information society have nowadays a huge impact in business operations. E-commerce is an Internet application with enormous growth potential. Today a large part of enterprises and citizens hold most of their transactions electronically, with the use of electronic cards and electronic wallets. Τhis thesis deals with European and Greek law of electronic commerce and electronic transactions. The laws that govern e-commerce are an essential factor for the development of electronic transactions, as if there are no legal provisions or are inappropriate or do not inspire safety with the issues that arise in relation to electronic transactions, they raise barriers to the use of new technologies that enable electronic transactions, a feature that involves multifarious benefits to the operators. Specific issues addressed in this thesis are electronic payments, electronic signatures, electronic invoicing, VAT on e-transactions, electronic cash, electronic contracting of conventions, protection of personal data, e-procurement and so on. The application fee is developing a product sale a Super Market through the computer.
