Traditionally, teaching a student is done in a school class with the use of a blackboard, teaching notes and any other ways. The physical existence of a professor is vital because not only is he organizing, presenting and finally teaching the theory, but by the physical contact he can judge if something is not well understood in order to explain it more and in different ways. Today though, with the use of technology not only can teaching be accomplished remotely (e-learning) but also there might be no need of a teacher. Using programming languages, there are software that can teach a person and they can also test their knowledge with a series of tests. Using certain techniques and algorithms there is the possibility to track down some errors that the user fells on. They are pointed out while at the same time a history is created by the previous testing evaluations. So, the role of the teacher is substituted by the intelligent computer software. This postgraduate thesis is about the development of a desktop computer software that will run in a local area network (best for laboratories since it is not a web application). Students can create their own account (learning software), and same for teachers, which means it supports writing capabilities. It looks like an e-learning platform because of the lessons list and the students’ capability to subscribe to them. There is a special addition to the software for the admin login procedure that is accomplished by a printed circuit board with USB interface, for this application only.
