Abstract
The Internet is a decentralized system of communication from a distance, a network which includes more networks, that consist of independent computers among which an interactive exchange of data is possible. The possibilities that this new form of communication has to offer to all aspects of social and financial life are now unlimited. Thus, all these new possibilities the Internet offers have led to an ongoing increase of users, which, in combination with the further development of multimedia, have established the Internet as one of the most important means of information and, as a result, an important means of promotion of services and goods. The Internet is therefore a new means of communication, which creates some new elements in the whole communication process and as a result, new legal problems as well. Thus, the topic of this dissertation is the accurate specification as well as the further analysis of the legal problems that emerge from the domain names on the Internet , an issue which has not connected enough the greek theory and jurisprudence, compared to the international one.Furthermore, this survey includes an introduction to the general problematic of Internet Law, the development of which is directly connected to the development of the information society.
