In this thesis, we study the impact of Web 2.0 phenomenon in the contemporary business world. The evolution of the web has brought significant and radical changes in business and triggered the creation of a new mode of operation. Extensive reference is made to the business models developed for the needs of contemporary e-business. Derived from Internet development is the development of social media and these in turn affected significantly the business world. All of the above are analyzed in theoretical basis and are tested in particular in the framework of education oriented companies. New technologies have created the conditions for the birth of a new industry, i.e. of e-learning. Special features of this industry are taken into account to determine their impact in the adaption of business models. This new phenomenon is examined using data from a real enterprise.
