Abstract
Object of this research was the analysis of the developing sector of 3PL in Greece. The research was drawn up with base collection of primary elements from the treatment of questionnaires which were sent in 40 companies and by secondary elements via examination of bibliography, articles and remaining sources (internet, sector-based studies). By the primary research they were carried out interesting conclusions as that the entrusting of activities to Third Party Logistics Providers is in the first place limited in transport, distribution and storage, that the economic assessment of outsourcing’s adoption constituted very important motive and very important suspensive factor . Also a very important factor in choosing the supplier was the experience from previous collaborations, the main problem that companies faced during concretisation was the problem of their former collaboration with suppliers, small companies that use outsourcing select informal ways of reconcilliation with their suppliers, participants are satisfied from the output of their suppliers, but still seeking lower costs and they consider the entry of new companies in the sector feasible in combination however with the benefit of more specialised services.
