This master thesis discusses the implementation of an e-learning system that provides an integrated educational process. This e-learning application has the ability for a student to follow a lesson, write corresponding tests and see his/her grades and results on these tests. Teachers can create lessons and corresponding tests, give results and suggestions. The research fields that this master applies are e-learning, user modeling and adaptive systems. The e-learning application incorporates stereotypes in order to create dynamic user-students. The presentation of the suggested tests and lessons is provided adaptively accordingly to every specific student needs with the help of technologies such as adaptive hypermedia. Our methodology presents the creation of a domain independent e-learning application and in this way it can be used for various learning subjects. This is also reinforced by the evaluation that has been conducted by real users to the prototype application. In conclusion the e-learning application has the ability to support integrated learning processes and help student and teachers alike in maximizing the learning abilities of the students. Our methodologies can be extended in various fields. Techniques of direct interaction between student and teacher can be incorporated to enhance the learning procedure. Furthermore, the statistical data can enriched with more characteristics in order to evaluate the student in a more precise way.
