Abstract
Diseases, epidemics and pandemics have significantly affected the course of humanity. Initially, as is immediately clear, the health of society as a whole is significantly affected. But this also has a particular impact on health economics. From time to time, various diseases appear in the health sector in the form of epidemics or simple diseases that have a particular impact on the economy. All diseases affecting a large part of the population come to significantly affect the course of the economy. This is felt even more during a pandemic, such as the recent health crisis with the coronavirus pandemic that hit the global community. In the event of the occurrence of diseases, either in their simple form or in cases of epidemics or pandemics, health finances end up particularly burdened, because needs are increasingly increased. In the event of an outbreak of diseases that significantly affect public health, it is necessary to take measures aimed at protecting it. Of course, it cannot be overlooked that the protection of public health and the measures taken often affect both the health economy and the economy of a state in general. For this reason, it is of particular interest to study the impact of diseases and epidemics on the health economy.
