This thesis focuses on the design and development of a WIX-based blended e-Course,
grounded in the Project-Based Learning methodology and orchestrated through
gamification elements and an AI-powered motivational pedagogical agent. The e-Course
aims to enhance the self-efficacy of higher education students with learning disabilities
and/or ADHD in self-advocacy. It also seeks to foster students’ intrinsic motivation and
sense of belonging, as key factors that reinforce self-efficacy. Although the research does
not include the implementation and empirical evaluation of the intervention, it provides a
guiding evaluation framework, along with practical research tools, that could support a
future pilot application. Overall, this educational proposal aspires to contribute to the
ongoing dialogue on the empowerment of students with special educational needs and/or
disabilities in Greek Higher Education. At the same time, it enriches the field with a practical
tool (e-Course), opening new pathways for future initiatives and inspiring the design of
similar interventions that meaningfully integrate the affordances of e-learning.
