This diploma thesis is on the development and design of an e-course aimed at Special
Education Teachers. The e-course is based on Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) on the basis of
which educational interventions are orchestrated to enhance the executive functions of
students with special educational needs. The educational scenario utilizes Artificial
Intelligence (AI) and incorporates mindfulness strategies and collaborative strategies to
enhance the skills of Special Education Teachers by offering an innovative, structured and
methodical approach.
The methodological approach includes a literature review for the theoretical foundation,
pedagogical design and development of the assessment tools. The methodology of this
research is partially experimental and the effectiveness of the e-course will be evaluated
through a questionnaire. The results highlight the effectiveness of the training scenario, as
the trainees considered it very effective in all areas.
The present study contributes decisively to the promotion of a new perspective on the
deeper understanding and implementation of modern learning theories, shaping a model
educational framework that can substantially support the work of Special Education
Teachers.
