Shipping is one of the main pillars of the Greek economy. Greece has a large share in global shipping, ranking third after China and Japan. Greek shipowners have 20% of the world fleet and are mainly active in tankers and bulk carriers. In the following diploma thesis, we examine 5 shipping companies recognized both in Greece and internationally. These 5 companies mainly have bulk carriers but are also active to a lesser extent in Tankers and Containerships. Greece's boom in shipping through its shipping businesses plays a decisive role in the global economy. It is very important that Greece's position in shipping remains and increases. Therefore, the analysis and examination of the financial statements of shipping companies is of great importance. Financial statements are essential for strategic and investment decisions to be made. At the same time, comparing financial statements helps us see market trends and keep a
