Empathy is a cornerstone for developing healthy interpersonal relationships, creating a positive school climate, and fostering values such as respect, acceptance, and collaboration. This is particularly true in primary education, where children are shaping their emotional and social worlds. Strengthening empathy significantly contributes to their emotional intelligence, conflict management skills, and serves as a powerful factor in enhancing their overall learning experience.
The purpose of designing and developing this digital course is to empower teachers in their role as mediators of students’ emotional development. Through theoretical approaches, experiential exercises, and practical activities, the course aims to provide tools and strategies that can be directly integrated into teaching practice.
By the end of the course, teachers will be able to support an empathetic approach in the classroom, enhance students’ social and emotional learning, and contribute to creating a school environment that values diversity and actively listens to children’s needs.
