The purpose of the thesis is to emphasize the significance of offshore wind farms in the generation of renewable energy sources and the conviction that they will contribute to the energy transition. This study serves as a decisive proof that offshore energy is among the renewables with the biggest potential. The following data are a result of our expanded research in the development of offshore wind energy in Europe taking into account some interviews with people who are actively engaged in the development of wind farms in Danish fields and some significant studies of energy experts in the offshore sector. Moreover, a technical analysis and examination of offshore wind farm construction and its features are also included in the thesis. Findings indicate that offshore wind parks will change the energy map in Europe, especially in the area of North Sea, and will become the pioneer in the prism of green energy transition.
