The purpose of this thesis is to examine strategic planning and the implementation of business plans in the healthcare sector/diagnostic centers, aiming to highlight their role in effective crisis management.
The methodology is based on a literature review, utilizing an exploratory, descriptive, and interpretative approach. Through analysis and synthesis of the existing scientific literature, critical parameters of strategic planning are examined, such as flexibility, risk management, adaptation to dynamic conditions, and the assurance of sustainability. Furthermore, the strategies and business plans adopted by diagnostic centers, the challenges they faced, and the practices that proved effective are analyzed. Special emphasis is placed on the practices developed by diagnostic centers to respond to the increased demands of the period.
The findings highlight the importance of a holistic strategic-business framework based on collaboration, innovation, and continuous evaluation. Specifically, flexibility and adaptation to changing conditions were proven to be crucial for the successful management of the crisis. At the same time, collaboration and the application of innovative practices contributed to the sustainability and optimization of the healthcare services provided. In conclusion, this thesis finds that strategic planning and business plans constitute fundamental pillars for ensuring the resilience and operational efficiency of diagnostic centers, offering valuable insights for managing future crises in the healthcare sector.
