The time factor is not a neutral factor in strategy and strategic planning is called upon to answer the question "For whom does time work?". The purpose of the study is to analyze how the time factor affects strategy. For the purpose of the research, secondary qualitative research using case studies was used. More specifically, the decisions made by the Athenians against the Spartans in the Peloponnesian Wars, Napoleon's decision to invade Moscow and Kennedy's decision in the Cuban Missile Crisis were examined in terms of the time factor. Through these facts, it was concluded that the time factor contributed significantly to the making of the specific decisions of the leaders at the given time and determined the subsequent developments.
