This thesis focuses on the application of the circular economy in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. The circular economy represents an innovative economic model that aims to preserve resources through reduction, reuse, and recycling, contributing to sustainable development.
The study begins with an introduction to the fundamental principles of the circular economy, comparing it to the traditional linear economic model, and continues with an analysis of its significance and applications across various sectors. Particular emphasis is placed on strategies that can be adopted in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, such as the use of sustainable materials, recycling of packaging, and the integration of green technologies.
Through case studies, the challenges and opportunities arising from the implementation of circular practices in these industries are explored. The findings suggest that transitioning to circular models can reduce environmental impact, enhance economic sustainability, and increase the competitiveness of companies.
The thesis concludes with policy recommendations and practical guidelines for further strengthening the circular economy in these sectors. These recommendations include investments in research and development, workforce training, legislative enhancements, and promoting collaboration between industries and consumers.
