This thesis focuses on studying the risk factors and diagnostic indicators of cervical cancer. The
analysis is based on data collected from the "Hospital Universitario de Caracas" in Venezuela,
which includes demographic information, habits, and medical history of 858 patients. Due to
privacy concerns, some patients chose not to answer certain questions, leading to missing values
that were appropriately addressed during the analysis.
Initially, descriptive statistical analysis was performed to extract key characteristics of the data,
such as means, frequencies, and standard deviations. Subsequently, the relationship between the
variable "Cancer Diagnosis" (Dx:Cancer) and factors such as age, number of sexual partners,
smoking habits, use of hormonal contraceptives, and history of sexually transmitted diseases was
examined. The analyses included non-parametric tests (Mann-Whitney U Test), normality tests
(Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk), and frequency tables (Crosstabs) using the Chi-square
test to assess statistical significance.
In conclusion, this study contributes to understanding the risk factors for cervical cancer,
highlighting.
