In order to limit the environmental pollution by the maritime industry, the IMO has defined some indicators of which the two main ones are the CII and the EEXI which show the amount of carbon dioxide produced by the ship and its energy efficiency respectively. Certain limits are set for these indicators and in order for ships to comply with the new regulations, they will have to follow certain procedures aimed at meeting these limits. In this thesis, a case study is made for a given ship, on which the application of such methods is evaluated based on various economic and technical factors. For the CII reduction methods certain criteria are used such as cost and installation time through which each method is rated, and in the end, the most beneficial methods are selected. Then, the monetary depreciation is calculated and an estimate of the CII index is made for the next 3 years. Finally, the appropriate method for reducing EEXI is chosen, which in this case is ShaPoLi, and an analysis of the total cost and installation time is made.
