This diploma thesis deals with the presentation and construction of screening designs in as simple a way as possible, in order for the reader to understand how they are used in factorial designs, as well as to understand their usefulness and reliability. In addition, reference is made to evaluation criteria of the above designs and the results are highlighted based on these criteria, so that each experimenter knows which of the designs to carry out, depending on the needs of the experiment.
More specifically, the first chapter presents the creasing designs most commonly used in practical applications. In the second chapter, the ways of constructing factorial experiments are discussed, as well as their advantages and disadvantages. In the third chapter, the projective properties in 3, 4 and 5 dimensions of saturated creasing designs derived from the Hadamard tables of 16 and 20 executions are studied and the criterion of D-effectiveness is applied to non-equivalent Hadamard designs. The fourth chapter presents applications and results of crash designs with 16 and 20 experimental executions.
