The energy upgrade of buildings is a key pillar of the transition to sustainable development,
contributing to the reduction of energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and overall
environmental footprint. This study analyzes the economic, technological, and institutional
dimensions of energy upgrades, focusing on costs, investment opportunities, and available
support policies.
By examining modern technologies such as heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, and "smart"
energy management models, the study highlights the importance of technological innovation
in improving energy efficiency. At the same time, it explores funding opportunities through
government subsidies, green loans, and public-private partnerships to make energy upgrades
more accessible and feasible for a wide range of investors.
The study concludes that, despite the initial investment cost, energy upgrades yield
significant economic returns and environmental benefits. Moreover, the integration of best
practices and the adoption of comprehensive strategies can accelerate the transition to a
sustainable and energy-efficient built environment.
