Abstract
In this project, we will create an application with autonomous virtual agents who will make decisions based on
their emotions. The application, called "Emotional Village," will consist of a virtual village where the agents will
reside and interact with each other. The user, through his own agent, will also be able to interact with them and
influence the village's happiness, which is composed from the average happiness of the agents. The goal of this
project is to show that it is possible to create virtual worlds for simulation or video game applications that will feel
realistic and full of life, offering a richer user experience and greater emotional investment in the characters of
this world. This is achieved by using the artificial intelligence model "Goal Oriented Action Planning" (GOAP)
where it enables agents to operate automatically using actions and goals, where it enables agents to operate
automatically using actions and goals, as well as the tool “Love/Hate” which simulates Personality Traits and
emotions to the agents which can be influenced through deeds they receive from the environment. The
"Emotional Village" application will be developed with the "Unity" and "Visual Studio" programs.
