This thesis presents the design and implementation of TrackIT, an advanced IoT-based system for vehicle and asset tracking. By integrating tilt, shock, and GPS sensors with communication technologies such as NB-IoT, GPRS, and LTE-M, TrackIT provides real-time geolocation and alerts for potential theft or damage incidents. A user-friendly web interface allows parameter adjustments (e.g., vibration sensitivity or battery thresholds) and delivers immediate notifications to mobile devices. Additionally, a remotely controlled safety relay can cut power to the vehicle in case of a theft attempt. Experimental results confirm reliable operation even under limited coverage, and future work includes developing an Android application and incorporating additional sensor modules.
