This dissertation explores the application of medical informatics in the management of diabetes, focusing on the technological possibilities that improve diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of the disease. Diabetes is one of the most common chronic conditions, and early diagnosis as well as continuous patient monitoring are critical for its management. This work analyzes the development and implementation of an application that combines modern medical informatics tools to support both patients and doctors. The application includes features that allow the management of medical data, communication with the doctor in emergency situations, as well as monitoring and analysis of blood sugar levels. This application was developed to provide an easy-to-use way of monitoring the patient's health through a user-friendly interface (UI), using modern technologies such as the Android operating system and programming languages like Java and Kotlin. The study of the application architecture includes the use of technologies like Firebase for data storage and the integration of essential features to support users. Future extensions of the application are expected to further enhance its functionality and accessibility, providing better support for both patients and doctors.
