This study was based on data obtained from the UC Irvine Machine Learning Repository. Factors affecting the mortality of patients with hepatitis were investigated through Cox and Logistic regression models. More specifically, the first chapter provides an introduction about the disease of hepatitis, followed by an overview of the different types of hepatitis, information about its pathogenesis, possible complications and procedures for its diagnosis and treatment. In the second chapter, the descriptive analysis of the variables in the dataset is presented, while in the third chapter, the analysis on correlations and tests of independence of the variables is presented. Regarding chapter four, Cox's proportional hazards model is applied, while in chapter five, the logistic regression technique is applied. Finally, the conclusions of the analysis are presented in the final chapter of the study.
