In all types of organizations, leaders need to focus on upgrading leadership skills. These are considered fundamental to the effective functioning of organizations. Leaders are well aware of the fact that to lead to effective organization functioning, they need to focus on upgrading these skills throughout their work. The different types of leadership skills are communication, motivation, creativity, positivity, feedback, delegation, trustworthiness, work ethic, conscientiousness and conflict resolution. The application of leadership skills in an effective and satisfactory manner depends on several factors. Therefore, leaders need to focus on practicing these skills throughout their work. The main areas considered in this research paper are the characteristics that leaders need to achieve success, the differentiation between management skills and leadership skills,
leadership skills and measures for upgrading leadership skills.
Purpose: This thesis deals with the analysis of the relationship between leadership and the factors that encourage the development of skills in employees. The aim of the research is to study how leadership strategies influence the motivation of employees to acquire new skills and enhance their professional progress. The study focuses on different types of leadership and their impact on employee performance and learning process.
Material - Method: to achieve its objective, quantitative research was conducted, using anonymous questionnaires as the main means of data collection. The study sample includes employees from different sectors, who were asked to assess the importance of leadership in their professional development and the motivation resulting from leadership practices. The total sample of participants N=107 participants. The majority of the sample is male, and the age group overrepresented in the sample is 25-34 years old. The responses were subjected to statistical analysis in order to clarify the relationships between the variables and to draw useful conclusions about the link between leadership and skill development.
Results: Quantitative research indicated the significant impact of leadership on employee career progress. The data collected through the questionnaires showed that leadership strategies enhance employees' motivation to develop new skills. At the same
time, the analysis of the responses highlights the employees' appreciation of leadership practices that promote their learning and professional development. Statistical treatment of the data helped to understand the relationship between leadership and skill
development, offering useful findings for implementing strategies that enhance performance in the professional sector.
