This Master Thesis concerns the use of specific learning strategies, for the design and
then, implementation of some examples of mini-lessons, related to the curriculum of the
course of History of the first Grade of Greek Senior High School, with the use of digital
tools and, by extension, digital technologies. Teaching History poses a significant
challenge in modern times. It is obvious that the traditional History teaching methods are
uninteresting for students and fail to capture their interest for the subject. However, there
are learning strategies, if implemented, can modernize the teaching approach for this
subject and which are suitable for this purpose. Both, students and teachers will benefit
from adopting an innovative educational process that will equip them with important skills
for their personal development and the future of Education and of Greek educational
system. This endeavor should be a challenge for all educational institutions and
stakeholders.
