“Justainergize”: New Eco-Social Convention for Environment Behaviors and The Right in Climate and Energy. Nowadays, issues such as sustainability are no longer just about technology or the environment; it’s an ethical and social responsibility we all share as a global community. But the concept of sustainability is often reduced to how to cut carbon emissions and switch to renewable energy sources. However, framing everything around these factors — without accounting for equity — could ultimately perpetuate, or even exacerbate, existing inequities. Ensuring access to clean energy, environmental equities, and acknowledging past environmental obligations must all be integral components of a thoroughgoing sustainability strategy.
It proposes an Eco-Social Agreement to reframe the relations between humans in general with the economy and nature in this situation, which enfolds notions of environmental justice with energy justice. Justainergize is the desire to build fairness into the core of practices, actualizing long-term viability, leading to designing an equitable and sustainable growth path.
This essay explores:
Energy poverty is a more severe and common issue facing an increasing number of people both nationally and globally, where due to financial constraints, households cannot afford to purchase even the energy necessary for their key energy needs such as heating and electricity. This phenomenon has multidimensional effects affecting health well-being, community ties, and balance with the ecosystem.
Amid the economic downturn background and the threat of climate change, energy poverty takes on another level of importance as energy costs increase and poor communities face more and more hurdles.
The Fairness Dimension of Sustainability, How it affects the processes of decision-making, All things aside, this is about energy and climate fairness – and how that builds an economy.
The role of an Eco-Social Agreement providing equal access to resources (environmental, energy). Making progress towards an environmentally sustainable future means building the institutions of a new policy framework. While individual policies and technological fixes will play an important role in creating a more sustainable world, nothing short of systemic change is needed, along with a commitment to broad justice in how we manage energy and environmental systems.
We have reached the end of the traditional concept of “achieving development,” and today, a new era for sustainability “Justainergize” have to start.
