The shipping industry plays a vital role in global trade, involving various stakeholders such as shipping companies, ports, and customs brokers.Also, in the shipping sector one of the most important activities is the purchase and sale of a ship as the ship is the main means of completing the services offered by the company.This study examines the second-hand market for dry bulk vessels, particularly its evolution after the 2008 financial crisis, the pandemic, and the Ukraine war. It seeks to analyze market dynamics, pricing, and how economic fluctuations affect second-hand ship transactions. Factors like economic cycles,geopolitical tensions, and technological advancements significantly influence the shipping market. Recent crises have notably impacted trade volumes and operations, especially in the bulk carrier sector. Larger companies have demonstrated resilience, while smaller firms face challenges that may lead to mergers or market exits. Overall, the industry remains sensitive to global conditions, requiring strategic adjustments from all stakeholders.
