Cardiovascular disease is one of the most common causes of death worldwide. Risk factors for heart disease include both demographic characteristics, such as gender and age, and specific haematological markers. Of particular interest is the development of appropriate predictive models to predict the occurrence of cardiovascular disease in an individual. In this paper, descriptive and inferential statistical analysis of data concerning the occurrence (or not) of heart disease will be performed. Among other things, we will apply Logistic Regression models and appropriate parametric or non-parametric methods to investigate the possible existence of dependence or correlations between the variables under study.
