This thesis focuses on the development of an innovative storytelling mechanism in video games, through the creation of the video game - application named Storybook. The research aims to design the mechanism of emerging (pop-up) 3D objects in the environment, to implement it in the production and finally to analyze the statistical results. Using modern technologies for development of 3D applications, the game follows basic design and development rules. It was also published on a relevant online platform for the general public. Finally, it participated in a festival for Greek video games where it managed to win awards.
