Abstract
Work is a fundamental factor in personal development, social cohesion, and self-esteem, especially for individuals with autism. For these individuals, professional integration acts as a bridge to social inclusion, combating stereotypes and prejudices. Employment provides them with the opportunity to develop skills, gain social recognition, and feel like equal members of society.
The participation of individuals with autism in the labor market contributes to reducing social exclusion while highlighting their unique skills, such as attention to detail, precision, and good memory. These characteristics can prove valuable in work environments, fostering innovation and sustainability. At the same time, their inclusion promotes diversity and social equity, benefiting both the individuals themselves and society as a whole.
This study aims to explore the relationship between autism and employment, focusing on practices and strategies that facilitate the creation of inclusive work environments. Its main objectives include raising awareness about the value of inclusion, documenting the challenges faced by individuals with autism, presenting successful practices from international and domestic applications, and developing strategies to facilitate their professional integration.
The methodology combines theoretical analysis, case studies, and qualitative research. In conclusion, the inclusion of individuals with autism is not only a matter of justice but also a development strategy that enhances business dynamics, fosters positive work environments, and strengthens overall social progress.
