The thesis in the first part deals with the international legal status of industrial property protection according to international treaties ratified between states, with an analysis of the content of protection of rights, as well as exceptions to it. In the second part, there is an economic analysis on the role played by the legal system of industrial property in attracting foreign direct investment according to economic research, based on criteria such as the level of economic development of the country and the sector of activity of the investing company.
